Content Creation:

Content creation is one of the most difficult part of web development. The key is not to worry about it too much at first, it can always be changed! Its important to get your site up so you can see everything in context.

One of the best places to start is with your present marketing material. Go through the marketing material and pull out the information that you feel will be relevant to your normal web browser.

Think about your user's experience - what information would people expect to see on your website?

Think about your goals - what is it that you want your website to accomplish? Gear your content in the direction of accomplishing those goals. For instance: "I want to sell my service" - your content (especially your home page content) should be your best sales pitch.

Think about your action items - what is it that you want people to DO when they visit your site? Do you want them to call? Email? Visit your physical location? Receive information or updates? - Your homepage is your most valuable real estate - its everyone's first impression of your website...the first thing your client sees needs to be something that lets him or her know that they came to the right place!
